So I recently discovered this video on Youtube, a nice clip of Rush Limbaugh, (a conservative talk-show host from California), talking about his views on Global Warming. It just goes to show you how inaccurate you can be in the media and still gain a large following.
At the start of the video, Limbaugh talks about how a well-known climatologist, Roy Spencer, had sent him a note about the temperature readings in Siberia. Here's the problem though. Individual temperature readings are weather readings, not climate readings. There's a large difference between the weather and the climate. The climate is the average of all of the individual weather readings taken in an area. One day of readings does not determine a Global Warming Phenomenon, or lack thereof.
He then proceeds to talk about cold air patterns moving through Alaska and across the Midwest, another example of weather and not climate. Limbaugh is the perfect example of a speaker who believes in the ideology of "if i say it enough, it's true." There are many more factual errors in multiple clips from his show, but it just goes to show how anyone, Anarchist or otherwise, must strive to see through the bigotry and posturing and develop their own unique opinion. Thanks for reading and be watching for my post on the science of global warming, The Real Inconvenient Truth.
